Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park

National Heritage listed Block 19 Bonegilla has become part of the narrative of a nation: a must visit place on any tour of historic Australia.
The original complex was built as Bonegilla Army camp during World War 1. It became the Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre in 1947, and until 1971 served as Australias largest and longest operating migrant centre.

Wonga Wetlands

Wonga Wetlands is a sanctuary for birdwatchers, field naturalists, photographers and bushwalking enthusiasts. An ecosystem of lagoons and billabongs, Wonga Wetlands is home to 154 identified bird species, a Wiradjuri campsite and ancient river red gums. The wetlands incorporates seven lagoons, 3km of walking paths and picnic and BBQ facilities.
